Objectives

Functions

• Train nursing students in obstetrics & gynaecological nursing skills.
• Celebrate International Day of Midwives, Breastfeeding Week, Safe Motherhood Day, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, etc.
• Conduct continuing nursing education (CNE).
• Promote independent and collaborative research.
• Procure and manage departmental resources effectively.
• Encourage evidence-based nursing practice and research.
• Guide undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
• Extend professional services to the community.
• Reinforce clinical skills related to obstetrics and gynaecology.
• Participate in institutional activities as educators, managers, and researchers.

Laboratory Objectives

• OBG laboratory is equipped with simulators, models, and procedure demonstration materials.
• Used for antenatal, postnatal, newborn care, and labor procedure training.
• Provides supervised student practice to enhance clinical skills.
• Well ventilated and spacious to improve psychomotor skills.
